Ohio Treasurer Josh Mandel had another big quarter, raising $2 million and starting April with over $5.2 million in the bank.
Mandel's haul fell shy of Sen. Sherrod Brown's, D-Ohio, first quarter total -- Brown took in a whopping $2.4 million and has almost $6.3 million in the bank.
Mandel has consistently had strong fundraising in his challenge to Brown, and on Monday both New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie and Sen. John McCain were in Ohio raising money for his campaign.
