The Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee is launching a television ad in North Dakota, hitting Rep. Rick Berg for "doing things the Washington Way."
"Voting to essentially end Medicare, gut support for farmers, while giving huge tax breaks to millionares," says a narrator in the ad, as Berg's face is shown in black and white in front of the U.S. Capitol.
"That's not the way we do things in North Dakota," a second narrator chimes in. "Heidi Heitkamp knows." The narrator says the Democratic Senate candidate will protect Medicare as well as farm and energy jobs.
The ad buy is approximately $76,000 and comes in the wake of a Crossroads GPS spot last week that tied Heitkamp to President Obama.
The North Dakota Democratic Party also released a poll last week showing Heitkamp up five on Berg.
