Cruz Spending $222K on First TV Ad in Texas

The source tracking the buy said that the ad is running in the Dallas, Houston, San Antonio, Amarillo, Lubbock, Odessa, Abilene, San Angelo markets, but not in central Texas (Austin, Tyler, Waco). Cruz is the last of the three major Republican candidates to go up on TV. Already, frontrunning Lt. Gov. David Dewhurst has gone up, as has self-funding former Dallas Mayor Tom Leppert. The Texas primary, which was pushed back twice because of a legal spat over a proposed congressional map, will take place on May 29.
