A CNN/ORC poll from late August confirms the trend: Among self-declared conservatives, only 11 percent supported Bachmann, while 19 percent backed Romney. Both lagged well behind Perry, who again lapped the field with 40 percent support. The NBC/WSJ poll was conducted Aug. 27-31, surveying 266 Republican primary voters. The margin of error was +/- 6.0 percent. The CNN/ORC poll was conducted Aug. 24-25, surveying 467 Republicans. The margin of error was +/- 4.5 percent
