Poll: Stabenow Leads Hoekstra In Mich. Senate Race

Today, 38 percent give her positive ratings, while 51 percent rate her negatively. Stabenow retains a positive favorability rating, however, with 47 percent of likely voters having a favorable impression of her, and 38 percent having an unfavorable opinion. Michigan is likely to be a an important electoral battleground in 2012. Earlier data from the EPIC-MRA poll released last week showed former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney leading President Obama in the Wolverine State, 45 to 43 percent. Romney's father, George, served as governor of Michigan in the 1960s. The poll was conducted Aug. 13-16. EPIC-MRA surveyed 600 likely voters, for a margin of error of +/- 4.0 percent.
