Top Dems Believe Warren Warming To Senate Recruitment

Several Democrats are already in the Bay State race, but D.C. Democrats appear to view none of them as major threats to Brown. That judgment from afar seems to have miffed Bay State Democrats. Democrats already in the race include Newton Mayor Setti Warren -- a former aide to Sen. John Kerry, D-Mass., liked by top advisers to Massachusetts Gov. Deval Patrick -- City Year founder Alan Khazei, activist Bob Massie, and state Rep. Tom Conroy. Strategists in both parties also question Warren's viability against Brown, who remains very popular. A former Harvard Law Professor, Warren is not from the state and has never ran for an elected office.
