Tennant's First Ad Says She'll Cut Wasteful Spending, Perks

April 18, 2011
Tennant, who was endorsed by EMILY's List, is the fifth Democratic candidate to go up on television. Public polling on the race has been extremely limited, and dueling surveys released by Tennant and acting-Gov. Earl Ray Tomblin (D) both show Tomblin leading the race, with Tennant running second, though the Tennant campaign's poll shows a closer contest. According to the most recent campaign finance reports, Tomblin had a big fundraising advantage over Tennant. The primary is now less than a month away and will take place on May 14. Check out at Hotline On Call's reporting on the first ads from Tomblin, state House Speaker Rick Thompson (D) , Treasurer John Perdue (D) and acting state Senate President Jeff Kessler (D).
