On Friday, state Sen. Greg Brower
he is also running. State GOP Chair Mark Amodei
may also run. Lt. Gov. Brian Krolicki
(R) has also been considering a run, and had originally intended to make a decision after the state's legislative session in June. But Krolicki adviser Ryan Erwin
told Hotline On Call
Friday that Krolicki would likely have to speed up his decision-making process if Heller is appointed and there is a more immediate opening in the 2nd District.
On the Democratic side, former state party chairwoman Jill Derby
was already mulling a bid, and state Assemblywoman Debbie Smith
and state Treasurer Kate Marshall
are also mentioned as possible candidates.
