Hotline Sort: A Kohl Retirement?

4) It seems as though politicians are always skating on thin ice, but Thursday night they really will be -- all for a good cause. The 3rd Annual Congressional Hockey Challenge will kick off March 10th at 6:00 p.m. at the Verizon Center, pitting lawmakers and their staffers against the lobbyist team. A suggested donation of $10 at the door will benefit the Fort DuPont Ice Hockey Club, an ice hockey program for inner city youth based in DC. Among the pols taking the ice -- Sen. John Kerry (D-Mass.), who was sidelined from last year's match after a double hip replacement and freshman Rep. Patrick Meehan (R-Pa.). 3) President Obama praised House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi at a Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee fundraiser Tuesday evening in Boston. The event raised a million dollars, sources with knowledge of the event told Hotline On Call. 2) Addressing an issue that may be problematic for some GOP primary voters, Gingrich told CBN that he "felt compelled to seek God's forgiveness" over his past marital infidelity. 1) When questioned about his reelection plans by National Journal Tuesday, 76-year-old Sen. Herb Kohl (D-Wis.) asked, "Am I running?" He then shrugged, wordlessly. Kohl then asked "are you are a reporter?" Told "yes," he walked away without a word. -- Dan Friedman and Jessica Taylor contributed to this post.
