King To Romney: Don't Skip Iowa

But King was also quick to warn that despite Romney's perceived front-runner status, anything can happen during the unpredictable stretch between now and next February. "I wouldn't write anybody off at this point," he said. "The best thing about the Iowa caucus is it lets somebody emerge as a viable candidate for the presidency who didn't buy a media image with the dollars but actually earned it by making contact with real people. And we have a lot of debate to go."
