Starting Lineup: Romney's First Test

Democrats Head To Maryland: House Democrats headed to Maryland's Eastern Shore Thursday night for their retreat this weekend. Democrats will focus on how honing their message in opposition to the new Republican majority and start planning how they will pick up the 25 districts they need to regain the majority in 2012. The Starting Five 1. Arizona Rep. Gabrielle Giffords (D) is heading to Houston on Friday to begin rehab at a specialized center. 2. The Arizona GOP will vote Saturday to move up its presidential primary into February 2012, a move that would likely set off a scramble in other states. 3. Rahm Emanuel has a commanding lead in the Chicago Mayor's race, according to a new poll, and is closing in on the 50 percent he needs to avoid a run off. 4. Sen. John Ensign tells KRNV that he had become "arrogant" before his scandal broke and it has brought him "humility." He also said he expects a primary challenge in 2012. 5. The Republican field for Mississippi governor is getting more crowded: Pearl River County Supervisor Hudson Holliday announced he'll also run for the post. He joins Lt. Gov. Phil Bryant, businessman Dave Dennis and Tea Party favorite James Broadwater in the GOP field. Bryant, with his ties to Barbour, is considered the favorite in the race.
