Vice President Joe Biden said the 2010 health care law will pass the Supreme Court test, after the court heard hours of oral arguments this week over the law’s requirement for Americans to buy insurance and other provisions.
“We think the mandate in the law is constitutional. We think the court will rule that way,” he said, in an interview aired on Sunday on CBS’s Face the Nation.
Biden argued that Republicans who spoke in opposition during the debate over health care simply want to kill the law.
“They are going to continue, no matter what the Supreme Court does, to go after trying to eliminate or strangle this law,” he said.
