Biden Answers Allegation in bin Laden Documents

When Vice President Joe Biden was asked on Sunday to address documents found in Osama bin Laden’s compound that said he was “totally unprepared” to take over as president, Biden took the high road.

“Osama bin Laden was wrong about a lot of things,” Biden said on NBC’s Meet the Press. “Hopefully he was wrong about that.”

According to the documents, the al-Qaida leader hoped to assassinate the president and others, leaving Biden in charge because he would be “totally unprepared for that post, which will lead the U.S. into a crisis.”

American officials have said there are no indications that strategy ever reached the planning stages.
