Chief of Staff, Representative Mark Pocan (D-WI)
Glenn Wavrunek is currently chief of staff to U.S. Rep Mark Pocan (WI-02). Prior to joining Congressman Pocan’s congressional office, he served as chief of staff for Mr. Pocan’s 14-year tenure in the Wisconsin State Assembly (1999 – 2012). In Madison, Glenn oversaw legislative operations from the time Mr. Pocan was a state legislative freshman to when he co-chaired the powerful Joint Finance Committee.
Glenn has also managed complex campaign operations. In addition to managing Mr. Pocan’s first race for State Assembly (1998), he managed the successful primary and general election campaign for Lt. Governor Barbara Lawton (2002). He was also responsible for daily State Assembly campaign operations for half of Wisconsin during the 2006, 2008, and 2010 campaign cycles where he oversaw 2 to 3 regional directors and 8 to 12 field representatives.
Glenn grew up on a dairy farm outside of Green Bay, Wisconsin, and has a BS in Rural Sociology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison (1998).
