Biography

Ben Billings works on a variety of issues, including homeland security, immigration, reproductive health, defense, foreign affairs, trade, labor, government affairs, and the Postal Service. He is also responsible for monitoring votes and debate on the Senate floor and assisting the Legislative Director with general administration of the legislative staff. A native of New Orleans where he attended Ben Franklin High School, Ben received a B.A. in History from the University of Texas at Austin and an M.A. in International Peace and Security from the University of London, King's College School of Law. Prior to joining Senator Landrieu's staff, he completed an internship in her Washington office, and has also worked for Congressman Tom Petri, the Texas Attorney General, the Political Asylum Project of Austin, the National D-Day Museum, and several political campaigns.
