The National Air and Space Museum closed early on Saturday, after a group of protesters with signs tried to enter the building, the Associated Press reported. At least one person was pepper sprayed.
The group, estimated to be between 100 and 200 people, tried to enter the building around 3 p.m., Smithsonian spokesman John Gibbons told the AP.
The museum is expected to be open on Sunday. Protesters from the Occupy Wall Street movement have taken to cities around the country in recent days.
