Former President George W. Bush laid a wreath at the Pentagon on Saturday, paying silent tribute to those who died there on Sept. 11, 2001.

Bush was joined by his wife, Laura, as well as Secretary of Defense Leon Panetta, former Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld, and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Adm. Mike Mullen, the Associated Press reported.

Bush laid the wreath near the impact point of American Airlines Flight 77. One hundred eighty-four people died at the Pentagon on Sept. 11.

Later Saturday, Bush is to attend the dedication of the Flight 93 National Memorial in Shanksville, Pa. He is to join President Obama in New York tomorrow to commemorate the attacks on the World Trade Center.
