The Republican class of 2010 isn’t ideologically much different from the rest of the House Republican Conference. Each House Republican who received a vote rating for 2012 is represented on the spectrum below by a rectangle, starting with the most liberal on the left and ending with the most conservative on the right. Red squares represent Republicans first elected in 2010; gray squares represent Republicans elected before or since. The average conservative score for members of the class of 2010 is 72.8 compared with 71.3 for other House Republicans.
