Rick Santorum will appear on Indiana’s May 8 presidential primary ballot after all.
The state’s election board met on Friday to review pushback from the campaign after Santorum was declared short of the 500 signatures needed in Marion County. A spokesman for the Marion County voter-registration office said the reversal was based on a reexamination of signatures that were originally rejected.
“We obviously thank the Marion County folks for doing a good job and recognizing the fact that the signatures were all legitimate,” said Santorum spokesman Hogan Gidley. He said he doesn't know when Santorum will next visit Indiana.
Santorum is in tight races with Mitt Romney for the Michigan and Arizona primaries on Tuesday.
