Santorum on Super PAC Ads: 'Just Yuck'

FLORENCE, S.C.—GOP presidential candidate Rick Santorum jumped into the debate on the super PAC ads flooding South Carolina airwaves this week, calling attacks against him “just yuck.”

The former Senator from Pennsylvania was specifically referring to an ad made by Restore Our Future, the super PAC backing frontrunner Mitt Romney, which claimed Santorum had approved a measure to allow felons to vote. Santorum hit back against the charge, saying that he had voted to allow felons to apply to have their voting rights reinstated after serving their punishment.

“To go out and mislead the people of South Carolina as to what our record is on this, is just yuck,” Santorum said. “Why would we? I mean I expect that from Barack Obama I don’t expect that from a Republican running for president. We are better than that.”
