Romney’s New Ad Says He’ll Put U.S. ‘Back on the Right Track’

Obama video hits Romney on his record in Massachusetts

The Romney campaign announced the third in a continuing series of generally positive television ads Friday about what he'll do on "Day One" as president, this time pledging to focus on the economy and the deficit, unleash America’s energy resources, and stand up to China on trade.

But, the ad’s narrator intones, “there’s something more” than policy and legislation to a Romney presidency: “It’s the feeling we’ll have that our country's back -- back on the right track.”

The Romney camp also released a new web video on Friday entitled "Symbol of Failure," hitting Obama again on the failed solar power company Solyndra. The video uses comments made by Romney during his surprise visit to a Solyndra plant in California on Thursday.

Meanwhile, the Obama camp is out with a new web video using comments by former GOP candidates Rick Santorum, Rick Perry and Newt Gingrich to attack Romney’s record as governor of Massachusetts.
