John Edwards may have avoided retrial over campaign finance corruption charges, but his embarrassment won't end: Mistress Rielle Hunter claims in a new book that the former presidential candidate had multiple mistresses, according to ABC News.
In the book, What Really Happened, due out later this month, Hunter writes that Edwards had affairs with at least two other women dating back 20 years.
Hunter fiercely defends Edwards’s innocence in the campaign finance case. She also describes his wife, Elizabeth, who died in 2010 of cancer, as “crazy” and a "witch on wheels"--blaming her for driving him into the arms of other women.
Hunter also says that Edwards told her that he was having affairs with three other women simultaneously, but later said he “made them up” so that she wouldn’t get too attached to him.
"Johnny didn't do anything out of character,” says Hunter, according to ABC. “He has a long history of lying about one thing only--women--and I mistakenly thought I was different."
