Texas Governor Rick Perry (Chet Susslin)

Texas Gov. Rick Perry will make an appearance for the Romney campaign in Nevada tomorrow evening, making his first campaign appearance on behalf of the candidate, according to USA Today.

Perry and Rep. Mark Amodei, R-Nev., will open the Elko field office at 5 p.m. tomorrow along with county commissioners and volunteers.

Before it was clear who would capture the nomination, Perry endorsed Newt Gingrich for president. And he was critical of Romney during his own ill-fated campaign, questioning Romney on health care, immigration, and other policy stances.

Perry joins other Republican candidate hopefuls-turned-supporters, including Gingrich, Michele Bachmann and Tim Pawlenty. Rick Santorum has withheld such shows of public support.
