It’s just a few days before Tax Day, and the Obama campaign is looking to strike a contrast with Mitt Romney by releasing tax returns for both the Obama and Biden families on Friday, The New York Times reports.

The Obama campaign will post a 2011 tax return for the Obamas, as well as returns dating back to 2000, on the campaign website. It will also post tax returns for Biden and his wife, Jill.

In 2010, the Obamas reported an adjusted gross income of $1.7 for an effective tax rate of just over 26 percent. Their income was $5.5 million in 2009.

The Obama campaign has criticized Romney for releasing only his tax return from 2010 and an estimate from 2011, but not returns from previous years.
