Newt Gingrich vowed to fight on after his second-place finish in Florida’s Republican presidential primary on Tuesday.

“It is now clear that this will be a two-person race between the conservative leader, Newt Gingrich, and the Massachusetts moderate,” the former House Speaker said. “The voters of Florida really made that clear.”

Gingrich spoke at his Orlando, Florida headquarters. A sign on the podium read, ‘46 states to go'; Gingrich said it was meant to rebut the "elite media" who have questioned his staying power.
