The super PAC that supports Mitt Romney, Restore our Future, is planning a $12 million ad buy in nine states, The New York Times reports.

The buy from a group that has heretofore been relatively quiet in the general election will come in all the eight major battleground states: Colorado, Florida, Iowa, Nevada, North Carolina, Nevada, Virginia and Wisconsin, but will also include Michigan, a state that was believed to be safe for Obama but where recent polling has shown Romney making advances.

The campaign will start next Tuesday and last six days, according to The Times. The super PAC has committed $2.5 million to Ohio and $2.3 million to Florida and $1 million for both Iowa and Wisconsin.

The ads to be aired are still being worked on, The Times reported.
