President Obama took a poke at Rep. Todd Akin, the Senate candidate in Missouri, on Wednesday for his now-infamous remarks that women’s bodies are able to avoid pregnancy following “legitimate rape.”

At a fundraiser at Lincoln Center in New York, according to a pool report, Obama cracked: “The interesting thing here is that this is an individual who sits on the House Committee on Science and Technology, but somehow missed science class.”

Obama did flub the line a bit, mistakenly referring to Akin as “Senator.”
