The Obama campaign and the Democratic committees that support it raised a combined $60 million in May, the campaign announced on Thursday.
With an average donation of about $55, more than 572,000 people gave money to Obama for America, the Democratic National Committee and other committees. The campaign also said that 98 percent of the contributions were less than $250.
They did not release numbers for spending or how much cash the campaign and the committees had in the bank.
In April, the campaign and the committees raised $43.6 million.
