New $25 Million Ad Blitz Hits Obama on Jobs

Crossroads GPS, a non-profit affiliated with the conservative Super PAC American Crossroads, on Friday announced a $25 million ad campaign that will hit President Obama on unemployment and the deficit, as the latest jobs numbers show the unemployment rate stuck at 8.2 percent.

The first ad, called “Excuses,” accuses Obama of making excuses for the fragile economy, and urges strong action to cut the deficit in order to stimulate job growth. The spot will air in Colorado, Florida, Iowa, Michigan, North Carolina, New Hampshire, Nevada, Ohio, and Virginia next week.

“We’re suffering through one of the weakest economic recoveries in our history, and the only thing President Obama is offering is slogans and excuses,” said Steven Law, President of Crossroads GPS, in a release. “People are hungering for practical solutions to our skyrocketing debt and flat-lined economy, and that’s what we are putting forward in our New Majority Agenda.”
