After failing to get on the ballot in his Virginia, Republican presidential candidate Newt Gingrich and his wife, Callista, decided against casting ballots there on Tuesday although they consider the state their home, according to NBC News.
Only Gingrich rivals Mitt Romney and Ron Paul are on the state’s ballot. The former House speaker failed to obtain sufficient valid signatures to get his name on the ballot, as did contender Rick Santorum.
“In this Republican primary, when given a choice between Ron Paul and Mitt Romney, they could not pick either one,” Gingrich spokesman R.C. Hammond told NBC News.
