Despite third- and fourth-place finishes in Republican presidential primaries in Michigan and Arizona on Tuesday, Rep. Ron Paul, R-Texas, showed no signs of letting up in his campaign for reining in government and restoring civil liberties.

In a rally with vocal supporters in Springfield, Va., Paul railed against bank bailouts, soaring deficits, high taxes, and the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq.
“And now, of course, they’re talking about attacking another country—Iran,” Paul declared. “There’s no evidence they have nuclear weapons; there’s no evidence they are even building them. We have to be heard about this—this country does not need another war at all.”
Paul repeated a central theme that has kept a devoted group of libertarian and conservative supporters active in his campaign.
The answer to the nation's problems is, he said: “Only send people to Washington you honestly believe really did read the Constitution, and they understood it, and they will obey it.”
