The Democratic National Committee continues to keep pressure on Mitt Romney to disclose his overseas holdings, this time in a globe-spanning web video with narrators speaking in German and French.
The video, entitled “Mitt Romney’s $ecret $tash,” begins in English with a narrator asking, “Why won’t Mitt Romney disclose more information about his international dealings?”
From there, a camera pans, Google Earth-style, to Switzerland and a German voice announces, “Mr. Romney had a Swiss bank account worth 2.9 million Swiss francs or 3 million U.S. dollars.”
From there, it’s on to Bermuda, the Cayman Islands, and Luxembourg, and more of the same questions about Romney's finances.
The video concludes with this text, superimposed over an IRS 1040 form. “What is Mitt Romney trying to hide?”
