Univision, the Spanish-language network, was denied an attempt for an official presidential debate and will instead host a “Meet the Candidates” forum with Mitt Romney and Barack Obama, The New York Times reports.

The network, the number one Spanish-language network in the U.S, will partner with Facebook to host two forums this fall. The candidates, appearing on separate nights, will “directly address topics of importance to the Hispanic community in Spanish and English,” according to a release from the network.

Dates for the forums have not yet been announced.
