With Mitt Romney looking like a shaky proposition ahead of the Michigan and Arizona primaries next week, GOP leaders are again casting about for a white knight. But New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie's answer is still no.
“I don’t know how many times I have to say it,” Christie told George Stephanopoulos on ABC’s Good Morning America, “the answer is ‘No.’”
Christie acknowledged reports that party leaders had approached him to jump back into the race. But he said he tells them that he’s continuing to support Mitt Romney for the presidency.
Christie also said the drawn-out campaign was “hurting” the candidates, but he confidently predicted that voters would settle on Romney “by April or so.”
