Campaign 2012

At Republican Debate, Gingrich and Romney Trade Jabs Over Bain, Freddie Mac -- VIDEO

Debate moderator Brian Williams on Monday let presidential candidates Mitt Romney and Newt Gingrich go into a lengthy back-and-forth over the former Massachusetts governor's ties to corporate America and the former House speaker's history with Freddie Mac.

Gingrich attempted to deflect an attack from Romney by comparing his association with Freddie Mac with Romney's time at Bain Capital. Watch Romney's reaction at 2:07 when Gingrich asks him about the gross revenue of Bain.

After Romney called him an influence peddler, Gingrich at 2:45 takes control of the conversation. After a long silence lingered, Romney allowed Gingrich the time to argue that he played a key role in enacting Medicare Part D.

Who was more convincing? Watch and then take our poll below.
