Tropical Storm Warning Canceled

The National Weather Service has canceled a tropical storm warning for coastal portions of the Florida panhandle.

The relieved area includes Tampa, the site of the Republican National Convention.
The storm is headed west of Tampa, and New Orleans is now expected to bear the potential brunt of it. It remains on track to land in Louisiana as a Category 1 hurricane.
