Tonight's mystery guest at the Republican National Convention was Clint Eastwood. Here are some classic lines the Oscar-winning director could have used when he took the stage.

On Education

"I don't take kindly to kids playin' hooky from school. I think every kid in America ought to go to school ... at least up to the eighth grade." -- Bronco Billy 1980.

On Taxes

"When a man's got money in his pocket, he begins to appreciate peace." -- A Fistfull of Dollars (1964)

On Medicare

"Well, I've got Medicare. Go ahead and shoot your best shot!" -- Space Cowboys (2000)

On Mitt Romney

"Tell me, isn't the sheriff supposed to be courageous, loyal and, above all, honest? … I think you people need a new sheriff." -- For a Few Dollars More (1965).
