Democrats Announce Pelosi, Reid as Speakers

Democrats announced more speakers on Thursday night for their convention next week in Charlotte, N.C., including Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid of Nevada and House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi of California, according to CNN.

Pelosi’s appearance will include a presentation of House Democratic women. Included in the presentation will be Rep. Rosa DeLauro of Connecticut, Rep. Carolyn Maloney of New York, Rep. Nydia Velazquez of New York, Rep. Gwen Moore of Wisconsin, Rep. Allyson Schwartz of Pennsylvania, and Rep. Donna Edwards of Maryland.

Other speakers will include Congressional Hispanic Caucus Chairman Charles Gonzalez of Texas, Congressional Black Caucus Chairman Emanuel Cleaver of Missouri, and Rep. John Lewis of Georgia.
